Julie is a senior legal practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in defendant insurance litigation. She holds undergraduate degrees in Science and Law from Macquarie University and a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. Julie has been an Accredited Specialist in Defendant Personal Injury Litigation with the Law Society of NSW since 2000.
Since 2005, Julie has specialised in medical professional indemnity insurance. She currently serves as General Manager of Professional Conduct Claims at Avant, Australia's largest medical indemnity organization, where she leads a team responsible for managing notifications and claims involving disciplinary proceedings, coronial inquiries, employment matters, and Medicare compliance.
Julie is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame Australia in Sydney.
