Natasha Anning is the Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Indemnity Protection Society (MIPS), where she has led strategic direction and transformation for over five years, supporting more than 55,000 Australian healthcare professionals. Under her leadership, MIPS has strengthened its position as a trusted partner in medical professional indemnity, navigating complex regulatory environments and the COVID pandemic while delivering value to members.

Natasha brings over a decade of leadership experience in management consulting across Australia and the UK, with deep expertise in general and life insurance, medical indemnity, member-based organisations, and risk and governance across the insurance and member/customer lifecycle. She has held senior executive roles at TAL Australia, Suncorp, and Ernst & Young, where she was instrumental in driving innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

A Fellow of FINSIA, Natasha holds a Master of Finance, a Bachelor of International Business, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is committed to advancing female leadership and serves as a mentor with the global organisation Mentor Walks. Her commitment to health and governance is further reflected in her role on the National Heart Foundation’s Risk, Audit and Governance Committee.

As convenor of Thrive25, Natasha has led the collaboration between Australia’s four medical defence organisations to bring this significant event back to Australia for the first time since 2011. At Thrive25, she will share her perspectives on adaptive leadership and the evolving landscape of medical professional liability—insights shaped by her cross-sector experience and unwavering focus on strategic impact in healthcare.
