Professor Roger Magnusson, Sydney Law School, University of Sydney

Roger Magnusson, BA/LLB(Hons), PhD, Grad Dip Managing Development, is Professor of Health Law & Governance at Sydney Law School, The University of Sydney.  His research interests are in health law, public health law and governance; and health development. He was the lead author of Advancing the Right to Health: the Vital Role of Law (WHO: Geneva, 2017) and Co-chair of the Working Group on Implementation, Monitoring and Accountability for the WHO’s Commission on Ending Childhood Obesity, which reported in 2016. He has worked with the Public Health Division of the Pacific Community (SPC) in a variety of capacities, including as a member of the Scientific and Technical Expert Group which advises the Public Health Division. He is also Adjunct Professor of Health Law at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC.
