Assoc Prof Antonio Di Dio
Associate Professor Antonio Di Dio grew up in rural areas of Italy and Australia before attending Sydney University. He has been a general practitioner for 30 years and practises in Canberra. His passions include medicine, teaching, regulation, leadership, practitioner wellbeing, helping patients and their doctors, and supporting the vulnerable in our community. He was AMA ACT PE/President from 2016-2021 and the Chair of the International Assessment Panel under Medevac Legislation for refugees in 2019. For over 25 years he has served as a volunteer for distressed doctors and currently is the Deputy Chair of the National Drs4Drs Board and Executive Chair of the national Leadership Alliance for practitioner wellbeing. He has participated in many regulatory bodies for over 20 years. He has since 2021 travelled around the public service, talking about burnout prevention, positive cultures and psychosocial safety.
