Emma is Deputy CEO and General Counsel at the MDDUS and MD of MSL, the MDDUS` FCA regulated insurance business.
She has sat on the MDDUS Board since 2019 and has 25 years’ experience in healthcare law. She Chairs the Company’s Commercial Delivery Board driving business growth and financial performance improvement and is a member of the Executive Committee. She also runs the Professional Services Directorate with over 140 colleagues including specialist lawyers and clinical advisors supporting medical and dental members and allied healthcare professionals in their clinical roles across all jurisdictions in the UK. In her role as General Counsel, she deals with a range of corporate, strategy and policy issues. Emma joined the MDDUS in October 2006 to set up the in-house legal team assisting members facing complaints, disciplinary procedures and criminal investigations and was appointed Director of Professional Services and General Counsel in 2016.
